We spent a few days driving through southern Utah and stopping along the way to do some hiking. We had hoped we would draw out some lottery tickets for 'The Wave' hike for Saturday but no success. We thought for sure we would when they assigned us our lucky number, thought it was a sign of good fortune. Our number was drawn for Sunday and had to decline....Mormon problems. The hundred others there looking for some luck were shocked I am sure when we declined the coveted passes. Better luck next time. So we resorted to plan B and went to Buckskin Gulch and spent the afternoon hiking through some gorgeous slot canyons. The weather was perfect and it felt like we had the place to ourself. The next morning we drove for a while and hiked to the Calf Creek Falls. Utah has some beautiful sights to see.
